MTR (Methionine Synthase, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate-Homocysteine Methyltransferase, Vitamin-B12 Dependent Methionine Synthase, MS)

Catalyzes the transfer of a methyl group from methyl-cobalamin to homocysteine, yielding enzyme-bound cob(I)alamin and methionine. Subsequently, remethylates the cofactor using methyltetrahydrofolate. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, HeLa and Jurkat cell lysates observed on ~150kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
