During his freshman year of college, our founder started a biotech company that developed a family of niche antioxidant and mitochondrial enzyme assay technologies. Through this endeavor, and his prior experience working at the bench, he realized firsthand the complexities of the fractionated process associated with requesting and ordering lab supplies.
His experience in both academia and industry allowed him to create a streamlined, team-centric process - one that didn’t involve a wall of sticky notes, long email threads, and whiteboards. The mission was to create a fair, intuitive marketplace experience that allowed lab teams to communicate supply needs, consolidate ordering, while also positioning niche and industry-leading suppliers on an even playing field that cultivated peer reviews and citations.
Today, Labscoop serves over 2,000 organizations in 60 countries across 6 continents and multiple industries representing over 1,000 niche and industry leading brands.
