Apolipoprotein F (Apo F), also known as lipid transfer inhibitor protein (LTIP) based on its ability to inhibit lipid transfer between lipoproteins, is a protein component of several lipoprotein classes and a physiologic regulator of cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) function. Apo F activity was reported to be localized to LDL, consistent with its greater inhibitory activity on this lipoprotein.
