Ceramides-Mixture

The ceramides mixture consists of hydroxy and non-hydroxy fatty acid-containing ceramides. Ceramides are generated from sphingomyelin through activation of sphingomyelinases or through the de novo synthesis pathway, which requires the coordinated action of serine palmitoyl transferase and ceramide synthase.
