Description
Preparation of HSV-2 antigens: HSV-2 is propagated in mammalian cells using a protocol optimized for maximum particle yield. At the appropriate time, infected cells are washed in saline then disrupted to release virus particles by freeze thaw and sonication. Purification and presentation: PBS lysate: Virus particles released from cells are partially purified by low speed centrifugation to remove cell debris.
