I purchased this for my school, so that we could observe microorganisms in petri dishes in shallow pond water! This is really important, as my middle schoolers are "farming microorganisms." When observing single cell organisms under a standard microscope, you can only use a single drop of pond water and usually, the intense light exposure heats the drop to kill the organism. While I found it a little pricier than I expected, it is a really useful and effective tool for our purposes!
