This rat dissection was very engaging and fun. I first did this at Duke TIP and it got me excited about anatomy. Even now, Im saving up to buy another. I would totally recommend this to another student or teacher in need of a dissection. The manual was very precise and when we were done, we could do some exploring of our own. (I viewed the tail under a microscope and I cracked the head.) Excellent!

These kits were a great help in my classroom. We had just finished studying human biology. Dissecting the rats really gave my students the opportunity to compare human systems to them. The guides were a great help and the rats were able to be stored easily so we could do the lab in multiple parts. It is hard to tailor this lab to students with varying abilities. I think some more pre-lab work may have been helpful, but now I know for next time!
