This lab makes the complexity of microarrays attainable through a paper activity and wet lab experience. It is easy to set up and finish within two 45 minute class periods. Suggested extensions are engaging and designed for a deeper understanding of this topic.

Differential gene regualtion is a difficult concept for students. This microarray simulation lets students explore very sophisticated genomics methods but does not cost an arm and a leg and does not take much time.
