Cytokeratin 14 is one of two cytokeratins that can distinguish stratifying epithelial cell types from simple epithelial cell types, being expressed by stratifying/keratinocytes cell types but not by simple epithelial cells.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: frozen sections
Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin. Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer is recommended for this purpose.
