CD8 is a 32kD transmembrane glycoprotein expressed as either a CD8alpha/alpha homodimer or CD8alpha/beta heterodimer. It is expressed on the “cytotoxic/suppressor” subpopulation of peripheral T cells. CD8 functions primarily as a co-receptor with MHC Class I-restricted TCR’s in antigen recognition.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma:
X63.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
