GHRL (Ghrelin/obestatin Prepropeptide, MTLRP, Obestatin)

This gene encodes ghrelin-obestatin preproprotein, which generates ghrelin and obestatin. Ghrelin is an endogenous ligand for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor and is involved in regulating growth hormone release.
