Description
Proteins encoded by the v-Rel viral oncogene and its cellular homolog, c-Rel, are members of a family of transcription factors that include the two subunits of the transcription factor N B (p50 and p65) and the Drosophila maternal morphogen, dorsal. Both proteins specifically bind to DNA sequences that are the same or slight variations of the 10 bp B sequence in the immunoglobulin light chain enhancer. This same sequence is also present in a number of other cellular and viral enhancers. The DNA binding activity of NF B is activated and NF B is subsequently transported from the cytoplasm to the...

+1
Analysis of HuProt(TM) microarray containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins using RELA antibody (clone PCRP-RELA-2B6). These results demonstrate the foremost specificity of the PCRP-RELA-2B6 mAb. Z- and S- score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that an antibody (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary Ab) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt(TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If the targets on the HuProt(TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-scores. The S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of an Ab to its intended target.
