Quick-DNA/RNA Miniprep

The Zymo Research Quick DNA/RNA Magbead kit is my favorite extraction kit, and Ive tried several methods and brands. I find the instructions easy to use, including when training undergrads doing work-ups/using the kit for the first time, and the customer service is always exceptional if I need to know about kit modifications or clarification on something. I used a bunch of these kits for my dissertation work processing microbiome samples and for simple RNA preps from those same samples, and the extractions were always very high quality and gave great downstream results in PCR and for sequencing. The flexible options that the kit gives for nucleic acid work make it very helpful for trying new downstream techniques from the same extraction too. I would (and have) recommend this kit to anyone doing genomic or microbiome work.

This kit by Zymo is great. Its quick, easy, and produces great results. Look no further.

This is a fantastic product. Its very easy to use, and one of the few kits that extracts both high equality RNA and DNA. The cost is reasonable considering you get both in one unit.
