WZ811: A CXC Chemokine Receptor Type 4 (CXCR4) Antagonist WZ811 is known as an antagonist of CXC chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4), which is a chemokine receptor expressed on immune cells and cancer cells. CXCR4 is activated by its chemokine ligand CXCL12 (also known as SDF-1), and regulates many physiological and developmental processes such as hematopoietic cell trafficking. .CXCR4 is also one of the main co- receptors for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) entry into T cells. Recently, it has been reported that CXCR4 induces migration of cancer cells and is important for processes such as metastasis.
