APPLICATION
An Intramolecular C-H Amination of Aryl Azides Experimental procedure: to a mixture of 1 (0.056 g, 0.246 mmol), Rh2(O2CC7H15)4 (0.012 mmol) and 4A molecular sieves (0.056 g) is added 1,2-dichloroethane (0.2 mL). The resulting mixture is heated to 60 °C. After 16 h, the reaction mixture is cooled to room temperature, and the heterogenous mixture is filtered through SiO2. The filtrate is concentrated in vacuo. Purification by MPLC (EtOAc:hexanes = 0:100 – 5:95) affords 2 (0.034 g, 69% yield) as a white solid.
