Parthenolide, a sesquiterpene lactone, is originally isolated from the shoots of feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) which is a traditional medical plant used commonly to prevent migraine headaches. Parthenolide has been reported to show potent anticancer and anti-inflammatory activities.
