Chlormethiazole Hydrochloride: A Neuroprotective and a CYP2E1 Inhibitory Agent
Chlormethiazole hydrochloride is a thiazole derivative with sedative and anticonvulsive properties. The mechanism of action is considered to involve the potentiation of GABA [A0282] activity, the major intrinsic inhibitory neurotransmitter. Chlormethiazole is also reported to inhibit cytochrome P 450 2E (CYP2E1) which is suggested to alcoholic liver disease. (The product is for research purpose only.)

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS
