Biology class, R strategies and K Strategies. How better to learn than to start the semester with 50 butterflies and ending the semester with 400? We have been able to sustain the colony through 4 generations. It is good fun. As I deny the kids the fun of releasing them into the town we talk about introduced species. The food makes it so easy. Once they have made their cocoons attached to the cup lids, I clothespin the lids to the inside of the net habitat and wait their entrance into the world. Good days while they fly about and way to much excitement when they mate. Thank you Carolina for such a good product that consistently works well with my classes.
