Fun Lab

My Biology students love the lab with woodlice ( aka rolly bugs, slaters, rolly pollies) in the choice chambers. The choice chambers that I have are about 15 years old. They wash nicely after use. The original line of woodlice are also going strong. They live in a terrarium called “woodlouse Hilton” in my lab and breed happily. All students are interested in looking at the tiny babies and everyone offers food treats for the family. (This needs my approval first - some suggestions are too gross.)
For the initial $ outlay these choice chambers have been more than worth it.
Good tool for engaging students

I purchased this to meet expectations in the AP biology curriculum. My students were always engaged in this activity. The students were able to find different variables to manipulate. I purchased 10 chambers. They do crack easily, especially when washed under hot water.
Great for Behavior Lab!

These are much better than the make-shift ones I had them make with old Petri dishes. Much less plastic flying around, and no need for taping them together and worrying about the organisms getting stuck to the tape! Im hoping to purchase more later so we have more options to run multiple variables at once.
