Brooder, Chicken and Quail

I have no experience in assembling brooders which may explain why it took my husband and me over four hours to put this together. (We used some special tools to make it go faster, too!) The instructions are very poor and in some places they referred to incorrect part numbers. There werent enough screws. This is VERY heavy and needs to be on casters if you are using it in a classroom like I am. My husband had to fashion his own attachments for casters. The water-bottle attachment is designed to sandwich the brooder side between an inside & outside piece but the opening is too large and the side is not sandwiched. Hope the bottle doesnt fall out during classroom activities. The metal edges are sharp. This probably works well in an agriculture setting but not in a classroom. Instructions dont tell you what to do with the red light bulbs. Had to go to the manufacturers website and look at a picture. This was not a fun experience so far. I hope it operates better as a brooder.
