As they said in the shipment, the plant was collected fresh. However, the quality of the plants was suspect. Some were not healthy looking to begin with.

Beware of shipping delays/temperatures when planning your activities. My plants arrived one day late and very hot, which resulted in a cooked spinach appearance. They did not recover. This was NOT the fault of Carolina, but of the shipping delays the nation is facing. I know Carolina will correct the problem, but I had to delay the start of a project while waiting for a new shipment of living plants. So, plan ahead when ordering to account for a possible need to reorder.
