This is the second time I bought Painted Lady caterpillars to watch develop into butterflies with my three grandkids. The seven year-old was amused and amazed as all six of the caterpillars emerged from coccoons as adult butterflies. It was an incredible learning experience to share with my grand children. The butterflies were active in their cage and we saw watched them all eating the nectar we made.The butterfly release into a natural area was a grand family celebration.
