APPLICATION
Tiaprofenic acid: A NSAID of the 2-Arylpropionic Acid Class.
Tiaprofenic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the 2-arylpropionic acid (2-APA) class. The S-enantiomer possessing most of the beneficial anti-inflammatory activity. Tiaprofenic acid and the other 2-APAs (eg: carprofen [C2701], naproxen [M1021] and ketoprofen [K0038]) have been reported their photosensitizing side effects caused by their photodegradation products.
